Tigers' Attack Shows Impressive Blocking As Stevens Stars

Despite the sloppy weather, Princeton coach Charlie Caldwell saw his offensive squad give a fancy performance in yesterday's scrimmage at University Field.

Tiger forwards opened wide holes in the Jayvee defenses all along the line Calwell was particularly pleased by quarterback George Stevens backfield blocking.

Fullback Russ McNell smashed through the line on the single-wing buck-lateral series, and drew praise from the coaching staff; All-American halfback Dick Kazmaier put on his customary display of passing and running wizardry.

Rated fourth in the Associated Press' national standings, the undefeated Tigers will be shooting for their 20th straight victory on Saturday against the Crimson, who will have their hands full trying to stop what has been called "the best balanced attack in the business."

Caldwell has a mastery of T-formation strategy, and has adapted some of its best ideas to fit the single-wing style he has always championed. The result is an attack that is more powerful than the T, tricker than the single-wing, and extremely difficult for the defense to penetrate.
