Federal Foreign Service officials are scouring the nation's campuses for men to send into world hot spots for the government.
The service decided on this recruiting program when figures showed that applicants for the Foreign Service had dropped by one third since 1947 and by one fourth since 1949. Of those who do apply, few are willing to go to the Far or Middle East.
Four regional meetings have already been held with University representatives of the service to explain the crucial situation.
