Brown University changed its football color to a pale blue yesterday.

University officials ruled that no beer or liquor would be allowed in the Brown Stadium from Saturday on. An announcement said that "any person carrying beer or liquor will be denied admission."

The university gave no reason for the ban, but warned that it applied to all other athletic contests on university property as well. Students and alumni were advised of the rule by letter.
