Automobile operators had another burden, literally put on their hands today as the Massachusetts Hand Signal Law went into effect.
The Law makes compulsory the use of a plainly visible signal by means of the hand and arm to indicate the desire ot stop or turn in either direction. The method of making these hand signals is very explicitly described in the Law. For example: "An intention to turn to he left shall be indicated by extending the arm horizontally to the left of and beyond the side of the vehicle and by moving the index finger to the left."
