The cross country team travels to Van Cortlandt Park. New York for the second time within two weeks to oppose the top barriers in the country in the ICAAAA championships today.
Dave Gregory, who finished a strong seventh in the Heptangol Championships last week, will be the varsity's chief threat. Dave Cairns will be out to improve his performance of last week when he finished 35th because he developed a bad eltch in his side.
The other team members making the trip are Emil San Soucie, Hal Gerry, Hugh Maguire, Steve Sharp, and Bruce Phillips. San Soucie and Gerry appear to be top men of this group. San Soucie has shown the most improvement with an outstanding Hop performance, while Gerry has been consistent throughout the season. The ICAAAA is the last meet of the year for the harriers.
In the harriers' last outing, on November 9, they finished a poor seventh behind Army, Cornell, Navy, Yale, Princeton, and Dartmouth during the Hoptagonals in New York City. Captain Dave Gregory came in seventh.
