Varsity Runs Light Offense

Wednesday's rain left the varsity practice field soaked with mud yesterday, so Coach Lloyd Jordan hold his squad to a limited offensive practice along the sideline for most of the afternoon.

John Ederer ran in the wingback position in the dummy scrimmage, in a backfield with Dick Clasby, Tom Ossman, and Gil O'Neil. Two other backfields also ran yesterday, with Dusty Burke and John McNamara as tailbacks, Jerry Blits and Bob Ray as fullbacks, Bill Healy and Brain Reynolds as wingbacks, and Bill Monteith and the newly repaired Hardy Cox as quarterbacks.

Later the jayvees ran Brown plays against the first varsity defense, which had a backfield of Reynolds, Burke, Healy, Red Lewis, and Bainy Frothingham.
