The University will next year join Yale, Princeton, and three preparatory schools in establishing an experimental education program designed to ease the transition from school to college, it was announced last night. Headmaster John H. Kemper of Phillips Andover Academy disclosed the plan.

The experiment will be conducted with a grant from the Fund for the Advancement of Education of the Ford Foundation.

"Our problem," Dr. Kemper said, "is to integrate the work of schools and colleges in such a way as to make it into an effective coherent whole."
