Floodlights to Brighten Weeks Footbridge; Fair Wins Battle

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Two 1000-watt floodlights were installed on the Weeks Footbridge yesterday, following agitation by Gordon M. Fair, Master of Dunster House. The lamps are placed on either end of the bridge, providing sufficient illumination for the entire structure.

Fair said that the move is one "of mere safety." Earlier, he had agitated for a traffic light near Weeks, which was the scene of two auto accidents.

The Metropolitan District Commission claims that the lights are placed on 35-foot poles.
