Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Overnight parking facilities in Harvard Square were scheduled for a Cambridge Traffic Board survey and possible City Council action after a Traffic Board meeting yesterday.
One member, police Captain Daniel Meyer, predicted that even if a favorable report on parking conditions is turned in, there will be a hard fight to pass any action on it. The city departments concerned with street cleaning and snow removal, and also private garages, whose business would drop if street parking were opened up, are likely to oppose any bill in the Council.
According to Meyer, the Board directed one of its members, Edgar Davis, the City Engineer to "take line measures of city-owned properties in different spots, especially around commons and playgrounds."
Meanwhile last night, Cambridge police announced that they had towed eight more illegally parked cars off the streets in the Harvard Square area in the last two nights.
