Indians Take Warpath En Route to Charles, Pitch Tepees Tonight

Dartmouth has been noticeably quiet all week, but rumors through the ice curtain point to a Big Green explosion here tonight.

This afternoon, more than 2,000 Indians will set up camp on the banks of the Charles, according to plans learned yesterday. War parties are expected to attack the Square tonight.

Perhaps remembering last year's CRIMSON parody of The Daily Dartmouth, which "reported" that Coach Tuss McLaughry was resigning as head coach, Dartmouth undergraduates have long been mapping a raid on Cambridge this fall.

In a pow-wow known as the Intro-Fraternity Council, tribe leaders recently vetoed a scheme to steal into Dillon and paint all the footballs green. But the group has tentatively decided to sail up the Charles in canoes before the game tomorrow.
