Daniel Ahearn, Executive Director of the New Boston Committee, spoke last night at 8 p.m. in the Kirkland Junior Common Room on the Committee's campaign to "get more people interested in civic affairs, and get more good people into office."

Presented by the Harvard Liberal Union, Ahearn and Miss Mary K. Fitzgerald, candidate to the Boston School Committee, described the New Boston Committee's program as an attempt to put people into office who are honest administrators rather than political patrons.

Ahearn said that all of the 14 candidates backed by the Committee in the primaries had won, and referred to the Committee as an independent civic organization with no political affiliations.
