Grad Composers Will Conduct Band Concert

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Three Harvard composers will conduct their own songs in the Band Concert on Friday night in Sanders Theatre. Robert G. Morse '96 will conduct "Up the Street"; Raymond G. Williams '11, "Harvardians"; and Richmond K. Fletcher '08, "Yo-ho."

The assistant conductor of the Dartmouth band will continue the concert with, "As the Backs Go Tearing By," and "Dartmouth's in Town Again."--Another big event will be a conducting competition for girls from the audience, and the winner will be the maestro who draws the loudest applause. Band officials predict stage technique may be more important than a careful rendering of the score.

Original purpose of the concert was to get funds to send the band to Cornell, but not enough tickets were sold to cover expenses.
