Dunster House began a new chapter in the development of the House system last Saturday with the First Alumni Homecoming weekend ever held by a Harvard House. Between 70 and 80 "old" Funsters, representing every class back to 1935, participated in the day-long activities which included luncheon, the Army game, a reunion cocktail dinner, and the Dunster football dance.
"We felt the increasingly autonomous position of the Houses in the Harvard community warranted a reunion of their alumni which cuts across class lines and permits friends of several consecutive classes to see each other again," explained Robert J. Ellrich '52, who headed the affair for the Dunster House Committee.
Next year's House Committee will decide whether or not the Reunion Tradition will be continued.
