Five minutes of workout against the varsity football team yesterday cost the freshman squad two broken ankles. Guard Herbert Grossman and center Roger Vaglia, the injured players, will be lost for an indefinite period.

Varsity Coach Lloyd Jordan continued to shuffle his available manpower during the hour and one half offensive scrimmage in an effort to strengthen his injury-ridden team. All three varsity backfields saw action, with converted wingback Dusty Burke and third line fullback Jerry Blitz both turning in long runs.
Jayvee quarterback Bob Gremp did some throwing in early practice, but, according to Jordan, he is not being counted on for the Army game because he is still unfamiliar with the varsity offensive.
Captain Warren Wylie, sidelined with a broken arm that he snapped against Cornell last week, said yesterday that he plans to stay in shape and hopes to be available for service against Brown and Yale.
