Crimson sailors placed second in a field of six local schools fighting for the Obeig Trophy, symbolic of the Greater Boston dinghy championship, yesterday on the Charles. M.I.T. edged out Harvard, 100 to 96, with Northeastern, Tufts, B.C., and B.U. finishing behind them in that order.
In Division A, Jim Nathanson skippered his men to first place and 33 points for Harvard, while Tom Carroll finished third in Division B, for 28 points, and Johnny Bishop won 35 points for a first in C Division races.
