The varsity 'A' squash team climbed back into the win column after two straight defeats by beating the M.I.T. Faculty, 4 to 1, in an 'A' League match played Wednesday at M.I.T. The 'B' team also won Wednesday, downing the Harvard Club 'Whites," 4 to 1, on the losers' courts, for its sixth straight 'B' League triumph.
In a third match played Wednesday, the freshman 'D' team kept its slim chance to gain the 'D' League title alive by rapping the Boston Y.M.C.A., 'Whites,' 4 to 1, at Hemenway Gym. The 'D' squad has now won five league contests in a row.
'C' Team on Win Parade
In a 'C' League match yesterday, the varsity 'C' team shut out the Lincoln's Inn Society, 5 to 0, on the losers' courts. The winners have swept all six of their league matches and have a good chance of winning their division title.
The varsity 'A' summary: Foster (H) defeated Holt, 15-9, 9-15, 15-7, 16-18, 15-6; Clark (H) defeated Wozencraft, 15-10, 15-5, 15-9; Ufford (H) defeated Boorman, 15-16, 15-11, 15-3, 15-4; Bacon (H) defeated Bernbaum, default; Rogers (MIT) defeated Watts, 18-19, 15-11, 9-15, 15-14, 18-16.
