Corporation May Consider Divinity School's Revision

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Corporation may consider the proposed revision of the Divinity School at its meeting Monday in Massachusetts Hall. No decision is expected tin the near future as the Corporation will probably weigh the case at great length before deciding whether to pass the revision on to the Overseers for final approval.

According to the suggested program the school's enrollment and faculty would be increased and its curriculum would he altered to place more emphasis on the social and psychological problems in teaching religion. The school currently stresses the historical approach to religion.

The chief block to the plan would be the difficulty in raising enough money-estimated as high as $6,000,000--to reendow the school. School alumni would be a poor source for significant gifts since their average incomes are usually quite small.
