For committee chairman were selected at last night's meeting of the Law School Dormitory Council Temporary Council Chairman S. Kearic Lessey 2L named the following committee heads. Edward H. Sayder KL. Dormitory Committee; Stanley Rothenberg II. Dining and Grill Committee. Ernest Oakland 3L. Common Facilities Committee; and Nathan Siegel 3L. Constitutional and Organizational Committee.
The two and one-half-hour meeting was devoted to preliminary policy discussions on all the basic issues that will face the council during the year.
The organizational work of the council the adoption of by-laws and the election of permanent officers is being delayed while the group discusses policy questions. Council work will continue at its next meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the seminar room in Walter Hastings basement.
The Common Facilities Committee and the Dining and Grill Committee of the Law School Council will work with similar groups selected from the Graduate Dormitory Council after it is elected in early October. Jointly these subcommittees will represent the students in the operation of the Graduate Commons.
The Law School Council was elected by the students with one man chosen from each of the five entries of Hastings and one person named from each floor of the five new halls.
