Archibald MacLeish, Boylston Professor of Rhetoric and Oratory, wrote and delivers the commentary in a movie short on Grandma Moses which opens this week in New York.
The 25-minute color film shows the 90-year-old painter of the primitive school at her home in northern New York State. Filmed by Eriea Anderson, the movie presents Grandma Moses at work and with her family.
The short was finished last May and has already been shown abroad at the Edinburgh Festival. It will be presented in Boston this winter.
