'54 Grid Aspirants Gather This Afternoon As Managers Sent Out Plea for Assistants

Although freshman coach Henry Lamar has a list of over 100 men who claim they have played football, he won't be able to comment on prospects for the 1954 squad until after this afternoon's initial meeting.

Today's meeting is scheduled for Dillon Field House at 4 p.m., at which time equipment will be issued. The first practice will be held tomorrow at 4:45 p.m.

Meanwhile, the managerial staff urged freshmen interested in that department to report to the Varsity Club next Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Freshman candidates automatically satisfy the three-hour per week physical training requirement, the outstanding freshman manager receives his numerals at the close of the season.
