Cricket Team Defeats M. I. T. In Closing Match of Season

The Cricket Club concluded its three-match season with a victory over M. I. T. at Smith Field Saturday. Harvard had 75 in the first innings; Tech had 39 in the first and 3 for 28 in the second.

Each side used a 12-man team, and the top batsman for the Crimson was Wright with 23 runs. The second-innings stand by M. I. T. was not officially scheduled and was merely to give more chance to play before the 5 p. m. deadline.

Two and One Season Record

In this first cricket season at Harvard in 44 years, the team won from the India Cricket Club of New York and bowed to a West Indian team from the Massachusetts State Cricket League before Saturday's match.

Members of the club remaining in Cambridge over the summer hope to form a joint team with M. I. T. Next Spring there will be another Harvard team, which expects to expand its schedule considerably.

This year's squad was composed almost entirely of British subjects from various parts of the Commonwealth, though one or two Americans also played in the matches.
