Slight reduction in the Dean's Office personnel was revealed by Dean Bender Saturday, when he announced that assistant dean Arthur R. Borden '39 is leaving the College and Borden's work will be absorbed by present assistant deans.
Borden, who has been a member of the deanery for three years, is taking a position in the English department of New York University next year. He has also been proctor of Massachusetts Hall here.
Assistant deans Richard T. Gill '48, Harlan P. Hanson '46, and Wallace McDonald '44 will assume Borden's work. Next year's staff will thus be one dean smaller in size than it was during peak enrollment three years ago.
