3rd Yardling, PC Crewmen Win in Informal Regatta

The freshman third heavy crew defeated four House eights in the main race of the American Healey Society's second informal regatta Saturday afternoon on the Charles. The freshmens' winning time was 3:54.7 over three-quarters of a miler Leverett House, Eliot House, and Dunster House finished after the Yardlings in that order. In the other race for eights the Porcellian Club crew, including several varsity oarsmen, defeated the Fly Club by two-thirds of a length.

In the race for four-oared shells, postponed until late in the afternoon by a heavy wind, Wold Boat Club defeated the Boston University Rowing Association by two and a half lengths. Both Browne and Nichols School and the Union Boat Club were entered but did not race because of the wind.

John Hart of Dunster House won both the singles and the wherries race.

Robert Roderick of the Riverside Boat Club won the comps race, the William Kellet of the Union Boat Club won the canoe race.
