Death struck two faculty members Thursday and Sunday.
Arthur V. Woodworth '91, retired professor of Finance at the Business School, died Thursday at his Boston residence at the age of 85. He has been on the Business School faculty since 1920, teaching Corporation Finance and tutoring students in History, Economics, and Government. In 1927 he became associate professor of Finance.
The assistant curator of Fogg Museum, Anne Scott Thomson, died on Sunday after being hurled from her bicycle by an automobile on Coolidge Avenue. The operator of the car, Henry Lowe, was arrested for manslaughter, driving to endanger, drunken driving, and drunkenness.
Immediately following the accident Miss Thomson was taken to Mt. Auburn Hospital, where she died several hours later from injuries suffered in the accident. She was a graduate of the University of Toronto.
