Two former graduate students have split the 1949-50 David A. Wells Prize for the best thesis submitted to the Department of Economics.

The winners, each of whom gets $500, are Morris Adelman, who got his Ph.D. in 1948, and Raymond G. Bressler, Jr., who received his Ph.D. in 1947.

Adelman wrote about "The Dominant Firm with Special Reference to the A&P Tea Company"; Bressler's topic was "City Milk Distribution."
