Yale will send its nationally ranking lacrosse Team to England next month to compete in a series of eight games against English city and university teams, Yale Athletic Director Robert A. Hall announced last night.
The English Lacrosse Union, which invited the Elis abroad, has guaranteed Yale's expenses there. But with no funds forthcoming from the university, the Eliton will have to pay its own travel expenses.
The Bulldogs will play four games against the North of England League teams, and three against teams from the South of England League. The trip will conclude in August with a game against the English All-Stars. All games will be played under the English 12 man rule.
Yale beat Harvard, 12 to 9, last month to close a 13 and 1 season, the sole loss being to Princeton. The Blue team won the New England League crown (Harvard was fourth) and is unofficially ranked fourth in the nation.
