Marvin B. Schwalb '53, of Hyde Park and Straus Hall, was elected captain of the freshman golf team last Saturday during its meet with Yale, won by the Yardlings, 4 to 3.
Schwalb was playing the last match of the day with the score tied. On the final hole he sank the winning 12-foot putt, although it was nearly dark. His teammates promptly elected him captain.
