Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
On the crest of a three game winning streak following the Bermuda debacle, the rugby fifteen will seek revenge this afternoon for a 5 to 3 set-back by the Elis. To Captain Joe Easton and 14 other ruggers, "victory will mean a successful season." The contest will take place in New Haven at 2 p.m.
The chances for an upset seem good. It's true that the Eli team is loaded with football players (among them Stu Tisdale and O.J. Anderson), but five men on the rejuvenated Crimson fifteen did not play against Yale at Bermuda. Besides the same team which will play today defeated Princeton last week by the score 6 to 3, after having been soundly trounced by them in Bermuda, 13-0. In short, as Easton commented, "the team was infinitely weaker during the first part of the season."
Long practices have been held every day during the past week, climaxed by an intensive one and one-half hour session on Thursday. The only man out during these practices has been Al Green, who will not be able to play today because of illness. However, Joe Eaton, who could not compete against Princeton, will make the trip to New Haven.
The lineups of the Crimson are as follows. Fullback, Densmore; three-quarters, Kelly, Butler, Adams, and Eaton; fly half, French; scrum half, Cotter; forwards, Mclntyre, Bennett, Calhoun, Lunborg, Loe, White, Travis, and Boucher.
With a backlog of seven games behind them--a record of four wins and three losses- it may be that the Crimson has at last overcome its initial inexperience.
Four members of today's team who did not compete at Bermuda are fullback John Densmore, center three-quarter Sam Adams, scrum half John Cotter, and lineman Don Purdy. Coach Roger Bennett hopes that these men will turn the tide between two teams which, even at Bermuda, vere very evenly matched.
