'Cliffe Will Try to Save Class Night

Seventy-three Radcliffe seniors yesterday signed a petition to save the traditional Class Night formal from becoming an afternoon tea.

The Class Night Committee, which originally abandoned the dance and lantern procession because of lack of response, will now circulate pledges to assure that enough tickets will be bought to cover expenses. Unless approximately 260 pledges for single tickets are received, the committee will go ahead with plans for the tea.

Tickets for the formal will also be available for parents, alumni, and undergraduates. The dance will take place in Agassiz, June 20. The tea, if held, will be after the baccalaureate ceremony and will be open to parents but not alumni, Mildred Blacklock '50, Class Night chairman, said yesterday.
