The Nieman Fellows softball team came up with eight runs in the fifth inning yesterday to overwhelm the Harvard College Society of Fellows, 11 to 9, in an abbreviated seven-inning contest on Soldiers Field. Giant hurler Clark Mellenhoff paced the Nieman attack with a double and a single in three trips to the plate and then relieved starter Bill German in the final three innings.
Bolstered by their recent success, the Niemans last night announced a game with Moors Hall on the Radcliffe, Quadrangle at 3 p.m. Friday.
