It will never reach the Supreme-Court, but the case of the State of New York versus Ten Young Men Carrying Concealed Weapons has stirred up more interest at Syracuse University than any legal battle in history.
The police figure they have to make an example of the ten in order to hold back the tourism being spread by a gang of more than 4000 sharp-shooters--including hundreds of gun-molls.
Yesterday afternoon 200 of the mob stormed the local court to see that justice was brought-or not brought--upon their ringleaders. The ten were released on bail until Friday. Their excuse--water pistols seem so right in the springtime.
