Fulbright Applications Start June 15, Close October 15

Applications for advanced research and teaching fellowships abroad in the academic year 1951-1952, under funds provided by the Fulbright Act, will be opened on June 15, 1950 and will close on October 15, 1950, John U. Monro '34, Chairman of the University Fulbright Committee announced yesterday.

This announcement concerns only scholars at the Post-Ph.D. level, Monro said. No announcement has yet been made of the conditions of applications for 1951-1952 graduate students.

Meanwhile, Gordon T. Bowles of the Conference Board of Associated Research Councils reported yesterday that of the 35 University faculty applications for Fulbright Awards for 1950-1951, he expects final awards to go to 15.
