The Law School newspaper, the Record, may lose over three-quarters of its circulation. Paul F. Hellmuth, treasurer of the Law School Association, reported last night that his group is debating whether it should continue to send out copies of the publication to its almost 7,500 members.
Hellmuth said that a special committee of the association would report on the subject before the Record resumes publication in the fall. The Law School duplicated some of the functions of the Record when its started a quarterly Bulletin for its alumni.
Record officials said last night that they expected many alumni would subscribe individually if they stop receiving the paper as a part of their association membership. Association heads may decide merely to reduce the number of issues of the paper they send out per year.
