To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
Blowing a quarter of a million dollars in the construction of still another Varsity Club will be remembered by posterity as the finest piece of whimsy ever conceived and actually carried out at Harvard. What a gesture!
Any other college, enjoying a pleasant green among a group of pleasant buildings, would leave it that way. We hasten to ruin it with a coca-cola bottling plant.
Any other college, facing a series of disastrous football seasons would buy a team. We put up another rec hall for our exhausted warriors.
After this, we will certainly be entitled to change our uniform from cap and gown to cap and bells! John P. C. Train '50
