Varsity, Freshman Tennis Teams Travel to Hanover

Dartmouth should give the varsity tennis team one of the closest fights of the year when the Crimson squad travels north to Hanover tomorrow.

Like the varsity, Dartmouth has a better-than-average squad of steady, hard fighters. "We should rate pretty even," Coach Jack Barnaby commented last night, "or maybe a very slight underdog since we will be on the road."

After looking at comparative scores, the outcome is anybody's guess. Before rain drowned the end of the Williams match Wednesday, the varsity had taken three quick singles matches, was winning two others, and was tied at a set apiece in the sixth. The Ephmen beat Dartmouth 5 to 4 earlier in the season.

On the other hand, Dartmouth beat the same Navy team which dropped the Crimson 8-1 on the spring trip.

Same Lineup

Coach Barnaby will start the same lineup that met Williams. Broward Craig and Captain Hilliard Hughes will again form the one-two punch and will play first doubles together. Bob Bramhall starts in the third slot and will pool his assortment of eggball and cannonball services with Chase Peterson's kicking twister at second doubles.

Jack Frey, Bob Kaynes, and Aaron Cohodes round out the singles at four, five, and six respectively.

The undefeated combination of Bill Goodman and Craig Combs will again play the third doubles. Corey Wynn's Yardlings will also meet the Green freshmen tomorrow at Hanover.
