Former Coach Forbes Gets Honorary Letter from H.A.A.

William C. Forbes '92, who coached the College football team in 1897 and 1897 will receive a varsity "H" in recognition of his contributions to Harvard football. Athletic Director William J. Bingham '16 announced the award by the Committee on the Regulation of Athletic Sports last night.

Forbes compiled a record of 21 victories in 22 games during his tenure as head coach. His '98 team went undefeated in 11 games, scoring 468 points to the opposition's 39.
