In their third straight victory, the varsity golf team tripped Brown yesterday, 6 1/2 to 2 1/2, at the Belmont Country Club. Crimson Captain Bob Matson led the scoring with a 75 and a 1-up win over Brown's McBicker, Cincinnati champion.
Sam Seager, playing number 2, also took a 1-up victory. Doug Wilde and Paul Weissman had an easy time with their Brown opponents, recording 7 and 5, and 8 and 7 triumphs, respectively. Wilde was second in medal scoring with a 76.
Hugh Nawn dropped a 3 and 2 match, while Brown's Dick Gidney defeated Herb Mee, 4 and 3. Dave Gorman played his opponent to a tie.
This afternoon the freshman squad plays Exeter at Exeter.
