Crimson golfers will face their toughest test of the year this afternoon when they meet Babson at the Dedham Country and Polo Club. Traditionally strong in golf, Babson had the best team in New England last year. Most of its top men are back and are reported to be scoring consistently between 69 and 75.
Captain Bob Matson will lead the varsity, followed by Dave Gorman, Doug Wilde, Sam Seager, Jack Denton, and Paul Weissman. Gorman was low man in the Holy Cross match with a 75.
Last year, Babson trounced the varsity, 6 to 3, in a best-ball match. Today's match will probably also be best-ball, the first Crimson New England match to be scored that way this season.
