Movius Appointed

Hallam L. Movius, Jr. '30, lecturer on Anthropology and Curator of Palaeolithic Archaeology, has been appointed associate professor of Anthropology, effective July 1, 1950, Provost Buck announced yesterday.

Movius is an outstanding American authority on the Old Stone Age in Eurasia and Africa. Last year he received the Viking Medal for his research in the Far East and his 1948 excavations in France.
