Socony-Vacuum has renewed its $2,000 fellowship in chemical physics to a graduate student in the University for another year, it was announced yesterday.
The recipient of the award will be chosen by the University, Socony-Vacuum fellows are not restricted as to future employment or publication of the results of their investigations and are free to study subjects not connected with the petroleum industry.
The grants are open only to men with at least one year of graduate work. Socony supports a total of 20 such fellowships throughout the country, at a total cost of $40,000.
