Track, Lacrosse Squads Down BC, BLC; Skiers Upset Green

Racing its final meet of the season, a squad of Crimson skiers upset Dartmouth in their annual slalom Saturday at Pinkham's Notch. Harvard's ski team, consisting of College team members, ski club members, and graduates, racked up a total team time of 626.9 seconds against 710.7 seconds for a similar Green team.

Dartmouth's Brooks Dodge, FIS skier and National Intercollegiate Slalom champion, won the race in 24.2 seconds. Forty-two-year-old Harvard graduate Al Sise finished second in 30.4 seconds, and former faculty member Jim Klein was third in 31.2 seconds.

Gray Taylor finished fifth to rthe Crimson skiers, and Bill Wasserman tied for seventh. The skiers won the 20-gate slalom principally by taking the middle positions--eleventh through fifteenth place, although Dartmouth placed six in the first ten.

Alec Bright was eleventh, Irv Fisk twelfth, Jim Lawson thirteenth, Rod Nordbloom fourteenth, Gordon Abbott fifteenth, Len Wilson seventeenth, and Dwight Black twentieth. Nineteen members of each team competed.
