Playing the first of 14 scheduled matches, the freshman tennis team meets Milton Academy at 4 p.m. this afternoon. The match will be played on the Soldiers Field Courts.
Crimson Coach Corey Wynn named his definite starting lineup last night. Charlie Ufford will be first singles. Art French will play second singles, and Harry Hatton, Bill Harrington, Berk Johnson, and Paul Trinchieri will fill out the other singles posts.
Ufford and French will compose the number one doubles combination. Hatton and Johnson will be second, and Trinchieri and Dick Meyers will play third.
First singles on the Milton squad will be Oakes Plimpton. Kirk Rankin will play second, and Brooks Harris third. Jim Clark, Dave Perry, and John Howson complete the Milton lineup.
Milton's doubles will be made up of the first six singles men, combined in regular order. In addition to the nine official team matches, there will be informal contests between alternates of the two teams.
