Tennis Suggestion

To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

Having paid twenty dollars for an athletic participation ticket, we feel entitled to be able to use the athletic facilities when the press of studies permit. Last fall we were precluded on many an afternoon from playing tennis on the stadium courts because of the moderate winds blowing unobstructedly across the courts. Once again today we found that play was impossible because of the wind.

Certainly it is not too much to ask that the athletic department remedy this objectionable situation. This situation could be remedied by either attaching canvas to the already existing fence, or by planting trees as have been planted around the varsity courts.

Those who enjoy tennis know how impossible it is to play contending with a wind. We would appreciate it very much if something could be done about this situation. Richard L. Gold 1L   Ernest H. Ruckert 1L
