Every sophomore at Princeton will receive a club bid for the first time, a meeting of the Undergraduate Interclub Committee decided last night.
An unexpected announcement at 10:31 p.m. by Dean Francis R. H. Godelphin followed a 30 minute session of the 17 club presidents and rush committee chairmen. The action averts difficulties posed by a petition previously signed by 605 of Princeton's 776 sophomores threatening they would not join any club unless 100 percent of the class received bids.
