Penn Team Wins Debate Held Here

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Penn's debating team beat Harvard on the subject: "Resolved, That the basic non-agricultural industries in the United States should be nationalized," in the Dunster Common Room last night.

Richard W. Hulbert '51 and Richard S. Stewart '51 took the affirmative side, holding that without nationalization, industry cannot be run for the public good.

The subject is known as the "national topic," because it has been used in collegiate debates all over the country this year.
