Idler Spring Play Is James Comedy

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Radcliffe's Idler Players' spring production will be a comedy by Henry James entitled "Disengaged." This will be Idler's second comedy of the term; the first one, "Whistle, Daughter, Whistle," was given last night.

The play "Disengaged" was chosen, according to Idler, because of the "recent revival of literary interest in Henry James," Miss Johnson said. Jean Tufts, who was formerly connected with Brattle Theatre, will head the production.

"Whistle, Daughter, Whistle" was adapted from a radio play by Ernest Kinoy, and had an original musical score written by Virginia Ervin '52.

Four Radcliffe girls acted in last night's play; Martha Fortek '53, Eleanor Kent '53, Renee S. Michelson '53, and Ailene S. Pressman '51. The one Harvard student who participated in the comedy was Marvin E. Mazie '53.
