Dunster House will get the University's first House parking lot--20-car capacity--if the City of Cambridge grants a rezoning appeal to allow parking in a residential area.
The University has already given the House permission to use its property at 7 Cowperthwaite Street, directly behind Dunster, for the project. The recent razing of a tenement house on the property makes this space available.
The Dunster House Committee expects to cut the expense of fixing the lot up by enlisting the aid of House members. These men will receive priority on parking space; a nominal fee will be charged to reimburse the University for taxes on the property.
