A drive to get donors to endow individual rooms in the new Graduate Center is starting, James R. Reynolds '23, assistant to the President, announced yesterday.
The Harvard Foundation for Advanced Study and Research is conducting the program as a section of its $1,000,000 drive to pay for part of the expense of the new center.
In the Graduate Commons building, endowment costs include $125,000 for the kitchen, $100,000 for the large dining hall, $80,000 for a meeting room, and $45,000 for the small dining room.
Endowment for single and double rooms in the two Graduate School dormitories will cost $5,000 and $10,000 respectively. Permanent memorial plaques will acknowledge the donations.
The Law School is also trying to obtain special endowment for the specific rooms is the five new dormitories.
