Wally Alwang of Kirkland won the House saber title at the Blockhouse yesterday as the Deacons took a two-point lead in the still unfinished House fencing tourney. The tournament will end at 3 p.m. today, when the House epee finals are run off at the I.A.B.

To Clinch his crown, Alwang beat Ellis Traub of Leverett. Traub, who finished second in the foils tourney Monday, was unable to cope with Alwang's trick style.

With the foil and saber tournaments over, Kirkland is in front with six points, while Lowell and Leverett are tied for second place with four.

In the freshman saber finals at the I.A.B. yesterday, Bill Soule of Matthews North took a tight match from Gus Fabens of Straus North. Matthews North has six points, Stoughton three, Hollis and Straus North two each, and Thayer North one. The '53 epee finals are at the Blockhouse at 3 p.m. today.
