PBH Blood Collecting Begins; Students Donate 160 Pints

A mobile Red Cross Unit collected 160 pints of blood at Phillips Brooks House yesterday as the spring blood drive opened.

William R. Polk '51, drive chairman, expects even more students to contribute tomorrow; he has ordered more beds and nurses to speed the collection process. If 700 students in all give blood, Harvard will set a new national record for a three-day drive.
